Beautiful women come in all shapes, sizes and curves!! Last week CEO of The Curvy Revolution, Keke Simót proved just that with the launch of her very own Fashion Week !! Curvy Fashion Week is changing the way we view fashion by becoming the first ever virtual live streamed fashion week.
When some people hear the word “curvy” they automatically think of a plus-sized woman, but Curvy Magazine founder KeKe Simon, believes the word is an eponym for all women, “all women have curves, no matter how big or small. The curvy revolution is a movement based on the empowerment for womankind,” she says proudly. A long standing champion for female leadership in the tech sphere, Keke helps to educate, inform and motivate women while giving them the tools to develop confidence in various capacities. “It is my hope that doing this will help to build stronger economies and spotlight ways to improve the quality of life for all women and their families,” she says.
It’s true that like attracts like: Our mission at Bare Necessities is to lift women up, and lately we’ve been noticing that we’re coming across a whole lot of inspiring ladies.
That’s why we’re so excited to launch Power Figures, a new column dedicated to meeting awesome women in different fields who share one thing in common: Every day, they’re out there tirelessly hustling to make things happen. Whatever they’re doing, they’re doing it on their terms. They’re reimagining the status quo, leaning in, starting meaningful conversations even when it’s hard or unpleasant or easier not to, and they’re uplifting us all as they go. We hope their wise words help carry you through your day.
We’re kicking things off with the incredible….
